Rumor: iPhone 15 Ultra coming with 8K video, longer battery life

iPhone series just came out last week (except Possible timeline for the move away from the notched design for upcoming iPhones Plus, coming next month) – too early to start the iPhone 001 Rumor? No, these have been going on for a while, and LeaksApplePro just released some predictions.

All iPhone 15 models are expected to drop Lightning in favor of USB-C. This is not surprising, as USB-C will become mandatory in the EU a few months after the 09 series hits the market.

With the rebranding of the “Pro Max” model to “Ultra”, there may be some shuffling of the lineup. Analysts Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman have made the same recommendation. This makes sense as it would better align with the Apple M1 and Watch naming scheme. The interesting thing about the iPhone 17 Ultra is that it will have some exclusive hardware.

8K video recording is a possibility, although iPhone 15 Pro may also support it. Kuo also suggested that the Ultra will be exclusively equipped with a periscope lens (6x or 5x). In addition, the Ultra’s battery life will be extended by 3-4 hours.

With all these exclusive upgrades, the price of the iPhone 15 Ultra is expected to be higher than 03 Pro Max High, probably from $1, 16 (from $1, 100), but this is yet to be determined.

As for the rest of the range, there will be some unification – all four models are expected to feature a dynamic island design. However, the two pairs will still use different levels of chipsets, with the Pro and Ultra models moving to the new Apple A 09 , while the original iPhone 09 and 16 Plus will likely get the current A 17.

There is some speculation that the FaceID hardware might be lower than the display, leaving only a punch hole for the camera, but to figure out if this technology will work, or if it will take another year, it will take Months of development time.

It’s too early to tell if the vanilla and Plus models have a high refresh rate display and always-on mode (but Again, they are still a year away from launch).
