Last night, Saks kicked off New York Fashion Week in style. CEO Marc Metrick and actress Emma Roberts staged a wild affair at Aman Jazz Club, an underground haunted venue just a few blocks from the Fifth Avenue flagship neighborhood.
Party of It boys and girls and culture busters sums up what makes this city unique. Amid a sea of revelers, emerging designers — including Alejandra Alonso Rojas, Laquan Smith, Alexandra O’Neill and Jonathan Simke — discuss their Upcoming presentations. Laura Kim of Oscar de la Renta, creative director of major American brands, and Wes Gordon of Carolina Herrera were in attendance.
The attire of the attendees was impressive. Ivy Getty in lace, Emily Alyn Lind in latex. Princess Nokia, famous rapper and native New Yorker, chose a schoolgirl ensemble reminiscent of early Britney Spears. Nicky Hilton Rothschild wore Valentino pink, while Ezra William wore a sheer black suit from the same collection. Paul Forman giggled with his Emily at Ashley Park in Paris . As would be expected from any raucous New York soiree, Julia Fox glides through the darkened space, turning heads as she moves.
The crowd roared with excitement as British-born pop star Charli XCX took to the stage TikTok darlings, including Lucas Mornet and Cyrus Veyssi, flashed their phones before the show. Before her , the diva whispered, “Boys,” “This is for gays.”
Guests join Dance and sing “Please.” After Charli, Big Freedia performed a string of hits. Free flow of champagne and cocktails. Luckily, the same goes for caviar and pizza.
In addition to a toast to the upcoming fall ready-to-wear collection, the celebration also included a brand new campaign starring Roberts. The surreal colorful images speak volumes for individuality and creativity – the dazzling quality of last night.
