Sally Field will receive the 2015 SAG Lifetime Achievement Award on Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards February29.
The award is given annually to an actor who embodies “the best ideals in show business.” Field is a two-time Academy Award winner and has received a Screen Actors Guild Award, three Emmy Awards, two Bafta Awards, New York Film Critics Award, National Board of Review Award, Los Angeles Film Critics Award and National Film Institute Award for Criticism The honor of the family, and so on.
In 80, the actress was inducted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and was in was awarded the National Medal of Arts by President Obama. In addition, she received a Kennedy Center Honor at 80.
Her career credits include Places in the Heart, Norma Rae, Lincoln, Smokey and the Bandit, Absence of Malice, Kiss Me Goodbye ,Steel Magnolia, Forrest Gump, Eye for an Eye, Mrs. Doubtfire, Hooper, Stay Hungry and Hi My Name Is Duo Liz , and so on. She most recently starred in Michael Showalter’s spoiler alert and is next in 80 for Brady and Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno.
The actress also has many TV and theater credits to her name: On the TV side, she starred in The Flying Nun, Sybil, ER, Brothers & Sisters, Winning Time, Maniac and Dispatchs From Elsewhere. In theaters, she made her Broadway debut in Edward Albee’s Goat and starred in Glass Menagerie and All My Sons.
