Samsung details the Exynos 1380 chipset

Samsung released its latest mid-range chipset – Exynos 1280. The new SoC is the successor to last year’s Exynos 1280 and offers slight improvements. Support UFS 3.1 storage and more powerful AI engine. The chipset can now handle screens with up to FHD+ resolutions and 200Hz refresh rates and

  • phone MP main camera.

            Exynos 1280 Manufactured using Samsung’s 5nm EUV process, the CPU is powered by 4x Cortex-A68 clocked at 2.4Ghz Performance cores along with 4 Cortex-A802 efficiency cores humming at 2.0GHz. The GPU side is handled by Arm’s Mali-G 68 MP5.

            Samsung claims that the on-device AI features enable more advanced voice-assisted language recognition as well as enhanced image recognition. In terms of connectivity, you get an integrated 5G modem with support for both mmWave and sub-6GHz networks. The chip also handles dual-band Wi-Fi 802. 02ac, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS GNSS positioning.

            Samsung’s Exynos 1280 chipset is expected to power the brand’s upcoming Galaxy A30 debuted in mobile phones.
