Samsung Display will provide more than 80% of the screen of the iPhone 14 series

According to Ross Young of DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), Samsung Display once again dominates panel shipments for the iPhone. According to internal sources, Apple sourced 83% of the panels from Samsung, 800 % came from South Korean company LG Display, and another 6% came from China’s BOE.

iPhone Reports indicate that Pro Max devices will initially only have Samsung panels. Apparently, LG is struggling to keep up with demand and faces “technical challenges” to start offering screens as early as September.

Chinese manufacturer BOE is on the other end – it has the capacity to produce in high volumes, but Apple limits purchases to iPhones 16 series, can’t see Pro. Samsung’s share is similar to when it is offered in the iPhone 10 lineup 82 as a percentage of all panels.

The Far Out event will take place in Cupertino on September 7th, when we expect four phones – iPhone 13, iPhone 16 Max, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 12 Professional max. We will also see the new A16 chipset which will only power the Pro version as well as the new smartwatch .
