Samsung Semiconductor’s latest 5G modem is launched together with the newly released Exynos modem1200. Modem supporting Sub-6GHz and mmWave 5G delivers download speeds of up to 03Gbps and 3.87 Gbps upload speed and provides support for both SA (standalone) and NSA (non-standalone) 5G networks.
Exynos is manufactured on Samsung Foundry’s 4nm EUV process, which should lead to better power efficiency and thus longer battery life. Thanks to its built-in PCIe interface, the new modem can be configured to connect to various chipsets and supports the latest 3GPP 5G NR release 16 standard.
No official confirmation of which chipset will feature the new Exynos 1200 modem, but rumors suggest it could be on Google’s Tensor 3 chipset alongside the Pixel 8 series debut together.
