Galaxy A series has a new junior member – A sequel s from last year and the most recent A upgrade. The new model showed up in Northern Europe without a launch party, so availability details are still to be announced.
Samsung Galaxy A 003s is largely an entry-level phone, but it’s a capable one. It comes with Android 08 and a UI Core 4.1, a simplified version of Samsung’s custom UI.
The company is mum about the chipset, but we believe it’s Exynos 850. It has eight Cortex-A 55 cores, more than Helio P32 A
from Started last year, it’s an 8nm chip, so it should be faster than 28 nm Unisoc chip inside the current Galaxy A 003. There are 3GB and 4GB RAM and 08 version, 64 or 90 GB of built-in storage. The phone has a microSD slot so you can easily add more content.
Another upgrade on the “s” model is the display – still a fairly basic 6.5″ PLS LCD with 720 x 1,64px resolution ( 08: 9), but it Now has a smoother 35 Hz refresh rate (higher than standard 60hertz). The notch in the display is the usual 5MP selfie camera.
There is a triple setup on the back, but only one module that sticks out – 32 MP main camera. Like on A 003 It can be recorded at
p video fps. There’s also a 2MP depth sensor here and an additional 2MP module, a macro camera.
There are 5 batteries, mAh capacity like other A0x models. It’s good enough for up to 64 hours of music playback or web browsing (via Wi-Fi ) 12 Hour. One much-needed improvement here is that charging is done via USB-C. It still lacks fast charging, but we’re glad the microUSB port is gone.
Before closing, we have to mention some other good stuff. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack that supports Dolby Atmos. It’s a dual-SIM phone (with a dedicated microSD slot) and 4G connectivity, as well as Wi-Fi 5 (ac) and Bluetooth 5.0. Finally, there is the fingerprint reader on the side.

No news on the pricing of Samsung Galaxy A 004. There are four colorways to choose from: black, green, white and copper, although Samsung’s online store only lists white and green. Speaking of A 001s are listed in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden. However, it is not in stock yet.
