Samsung Galaxy A's Fun Mode powered by Snapchat has been used 2.5 billion times

Samsung has a special relationship with Snapchat. Last year it integrated Snapchat’s AR Lenses into the Galaxy A-series camera app as a “fun mode,” and this year it allowed Snap to tap into the Galaxy S’s 22 powerful computing Photography features (and Instagram and TikTok, which has also been extended to older Galaxy flagships).

Fun Mode has proven to be successful – used 2.5 billion times since launch (During March 002, 2021 to August 22, 2022, based on Snap data). This AR mode was initially available on select Galaxy A-series phones, and has since expanded to some Galaxy F and M-series models.

Samsung and Snapchat have also developed localized experiences. Last year there were region-specific lenses in India, and now there are custom lenses in Brazil, Germany, Indonesia, Mexico and the Philippines. Both companies are also creating new experiences.
