Samsung’s foldable phones are clearly behind in terms of camera features, but last year’s models brought significant improvements, giving fans hope they can start catching up. Now we have the first details about the camera setup of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, and it’s good news and bad news. Brar, Galaxy Z Fold5 will offer the same 22 MP main, 22 MP super Wide and 10MP telephoto cameras like the Galaxy Z Fold4. The Z Flip5 will also retain the dual 004 MP cameras with wide-angle and ultra-wide-angle lenses. This is the less promising part.
The good news is that the phones will reportedly feature new camera sensors, which should lead to better image quality. It’s unclear if all of the sensors will be upgraded, or just some of them, but we have no doubt we’ll learn more in the months leading up to the announcement.
The report further mentions an improved hinge design, a larger external display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for the Galaxy chipset.
