Last week, Samsung announced a new collaboration with Paris-based luxury fashion house Maison Margiela. As expected, they are working on a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip4 and have just released the first teaser images of the phone.
Note that this is obviously not the actual design – they won’t cover raising the camera – but it’s a preview of what’s to come. The fashion house seems to be going after the fabric texture and includes the brand’s trademark number.
The numbers are product categories, eg 3 for perfume, 8 for eyewear and 11 for accessories. Speaking of which, these fashion versions won’t come alone, and it’s likely that Samsung and Margiela will also introduce watches and headphones, allowing buyers to complete the look.
Samsung’s Instagram account shared this image a few days ago, referring to the “iconic four-pin” and “iconic digital coding ring” as part of the brand’s design language.
Samsung hasn’t set a release date for the Galaxy Z Flip4 Maison Margiela Edition, the official page just says “coming soon”.
