The Umbrella Academy will end its fourth and final season on Netflix .
The anchor updates the final round of the superhero series starring Elliot Page.
“I’m so excited that loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience a fitting finale looking back at us five years ago The journey of the Hargreeves siblings began,” said showrunner Steve Blackman. “But before we came to this conclusion, we had a great fourth season story ready, and fans would be on the edge of their seats until the last few minutes.”
The show’s Season 4 cast will reprise their roles, including Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver- Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore. More casting news will be announced later.
Netflix also announced an expanded partnership with Blackman and his new Irish Cowboy Productions. Blackman will next work on a series adaptation of the hit PlayStation game Horizon Zero Dawn and a limited sci-fi series called Orbits .
Horizon Zero Dawn is described as “an epic sci-fi adventure series set in a thousand years In the future, in a bizarre and beautiful world full of primitive tribes and high-tech machines, everything is built on the bones of “old times” – the ruins of our present-day America. The disasters that devastated our world are long forgotten, but when these When a formerly peaceful machine mysteriously becomes a danger hunter for all life, a young wanderer named Aloy discovers that the only chance to save her world is to work to uncover the truth about our world.” Executive producers include Blackman, Michelle Lovretta and Abbey Morris; Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions; Jan-Bart van Beek and Ben McCaw of Guerrilla; Roy Lee of Vertigo; and Matthew Ball.
While Orbital is described as a “horror event series set on the International Space Station”. Orbital is an original concept by writers David and Keith Lynch, who will co-create the series and direct an episode with Steve Blackman. Executive producers include Blackman, Abby Morris, the Lynch Brothers, Dan Lin, Nick Reynolds and Jonathan Erich.
