Shuttle has released the XPC Slim DH610 and XPC Slim DH610S, a pair of mini PCs based on current Intel Alder Lake hardware. Sold as barebones, the pair differ in a few ways, though they have more similarities than differences.
On the one hand, the XPC Slim DH610 includes dual RS-232 connections, which is Features that the XPC Slim DH610S lacks. Additionally, Shuttle has equipped the XPC Slim DH610 with two Ethernet connections, one of which is 2.5 Gbit compliant. Instead, the XPC Slim DH610S offers the only Gigabit Ethernet connection and can only power two external monitors. For some reason, the Shuttle allows the XPC Slim DH610 to output to three external monitors simultaneously.
Also, each unit measures 19 x 16.5 x 4.3 cm, And has two S0DIMM slots that can hold up to 64 GB of RAM. For reference, the Shuttle complements the high RAM capacity with an M.2 2280 slot (PCIe Gen 3) and 2.5-inch drive bays. In addition, the Shuttle has a number of other ports for both models, including DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A. While Shuttle hasn’t publicly confirmed full pricing details, some retailers are already selling the XPC Slim DH610S for €281, while the XPC Slim DH610 is priced at €307.
