Welcome to Simon Miller Island. Here, you can delve into the fantastical world of Chelsea Hansford, where models are high in natural sugar, in candy-packed heels, cotton smocks with swirls of toffee prints, and carrying coconut flakes-inspired bag. “I imagined what a candy village on Simon Miller Island would look like. Everything was inspired by the texture of tropical natural candies and candy wrappers,” Hansford said of her collection’s showroom.
Hansford to create an IT project. Her bubble clogs and disco drop earrings are her most popular pieces. And this season, she launched beachy versions of these pieces with new bubble wedges and coral necklaces. But Hansford is also ready to create an It garment for her label. “We’ve seen great success with our signature tank,” she said. “It’s like an opening price point, but fun and lively. So I worked hard to develop a more intricate logo line of knitwear. It’s generic, but still has a really cool logo on it.” The hard work seems to have paid off . Gigi Hadid just wore a new red knitted suit to the US Open, helping it go viral on social media as the brand’s next must-have.
With her upcoming wedding in mind, Hansford created her first bridal look. Inspired by vermicelli noodles and licorice, she created a bridal gown for her wedding at Simon Miller Island (Hansford wore a miniature version during the presentation). As for the groom, he can wear a double-faced satin commemorative jacket like her fiancé.
