'SNL' Loses Three More Actors Ahead of Season 48

Saturday Night Live has an increasing attrition rate.

Three other members of the NBC show – regulars Alex Moffat and Melissa Villaseno and featured player Aristotle Tarry – Will leave the season early 48, the season starts in the fall. Their departure comes after

Aidy Bryant, Pete Davidson, Kate McKinnon and Kyle Mooney who said goodbye in the season finale in May.

Moffat and Villaseñor join SNL as 2016 featured performance He was promoted to a playwright two years later. Moffat played President Joe Biden in several sketches prior to last season, when James Austin Johnson took over the role and recurred in “Weekend Update” as Eric Trump and The guy who just bought a boat. Recurring impressions of Villaseñor include Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who, in many sketches, is a reliable straight daughter.

Athari’s time on SNL lasted for a season in 2021.

NBC declined to comment on the departure. SNL usually announces returns and new cast a few weeks before the season begins. The network has yet to set a premiere date for the season.

Assuming no more departures, this season’s returning cast

will be Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman , Heidi Gardner, James Austin Johnson, Punkie Johnson, Colin Jost, Ego Nwodim, Chris Redd, Sherman, Cecily Strong, Kenan Thompson and Bowen Yang.
