Oscar-winning French director Florian Zeller (Father, The Son) has signed a contract with fast Multi-Year Contract – Growing European Production Company Mediawan (Call My Agent!) Develop and produce movies and cross-platform high-end TV series.
Mediawan will finance and produce films and TV series, co-produced with Blue Morning Pictures, the production company Zeller recently co-founded with former CAA agent Federica Sainte-Rose. Zeller won an Oscar for his father’s screenplay, his directorial debut, and an adaptation of his own French play of the same name.
“Father” starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman was nominated for six Oscars, including best picture, and won Zeller’s adapted screenplay and Hopkins’ best actor honors.
As an agent for CAA Media Finance, Saint Rose has been involved in the packaging and sales of films such as Audrey Dewan’s Venice Film Festival Winner is happening , and Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia’s Netflix hits platform . She collaborated with Zeller on Father and his follow-up Son , starring Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern and Vanessa Kirby premiered Wednesday at the Venice Film Festival and will have its North American premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September. 12.
