Sony Pictures Animation preview to be continued 2018 minutes of much-anticipated Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, the sequel to Best Animated Feature Oscar Spider-Man: Enter Spider-Man World

“At 2018 we delivered the most creatively ambitious film I’ve ever been a part of,” said SPA President Kristine Belson said. “We’re very proud of the sequel.”
The film once again follows Marvel’s Miles Morales/Spider-Man, voiced by Shameik Moore, and Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman, voiced by Hailee Voiced by Steinfeld, set in the multiverse of spider-people. At CinemaCon, they were joined by new voice actor Isa Rae (Jessica Drew) and Kemp Bowles, one of the film’s three directors, to introduce the film.
The story begins with Miles in his bedroom when Gwen Stacy pays an unexpected visit. They swing and talk over Brooklyn until they are interrupted by Miles’ parents. Before the segment ends, Miles has another touching conversation with his mother, voiced by Luna Lauren Velez.
Powers called the sequel “a continuation of the Miles Morales story that introduces many old and new characters on the same emotional journey.”
“It’s been over a year since the events of the first movie, and he’s still learning to be a superhero,” Moore added, adding that the movie shows “how you put on a mask to be a hero.”
Rae introduces her “crap” Spider-Woman, while Steinfeld says she’s glad Stacy’s Spider-Woman is “so inspiring to young girls.” : Powers, a 2024 Adapted Screenplay Academy Award Miami Nights Nominated, Pixar Co-Director Soul ; Joachim Dos Santos, Series Storyboard Artist Avatar: The Last Airbender; and Justin K. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will return as producers and writers, with David Callaham writing the screenplay.
The movie will be followed by another sequel, Spider -Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, in 2024.
