Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) launches DualSense Edge, New controller for PlayStation 5, Tuesday. The controller features several customizable options, including custom user control profiles and replaceable parts.
The wireless controller has the ability to activate or deactivate a single button, adjustable analog stick sensitivity, adjustable stick dead zone, and Adjustable L2/R2 trigger deadband and travel time (until the trigger only has a low travel button click). Controller customization options can be saved in configuration files.
The controller will have a user interface that will allow players to swap profiles, adjust volume, and adjust profile settings within the controller.
It will also have replaceable rod caps: standard cap, low dome and high dome. Stick caps will be sold separately. The entire analog stick module is fully replaceable. The controller will have back buttons replaceable for half domes and lever changes, and can be mapped to any other button input in the controller for easy access.
Microsoft also released the Xbox One Elite at Controller . Like the DualSense Edge, it features replaceable stem caps, parts, rear button paddles and customizable buttons, as well as deadband and travel time adjustments.
