Sony will launch the Xperia 1 Mk V in ten days. The device was teased a little over two months ago with a similar design to its predecessor, but now we have confirmation of what it will look like. The new flagship has appeared on a billboard in Hong Kong, showing off a vertical rear triple camera arrangement, a more prominent oval island and larger lenses.
Photos of the billboard appeared on Reddit, revealing that the new Xperia 1 will have the tagline “one for all lights” and will feature “next-generation dual low-noise camera sensors.”
Previous reports suggest that Sony is implementing the IMX 676 sensor for the main camera , but it might work for IMX as it is the only platform that supports the new low noise mode LN2 combined with MCSS (Multiple Camera Synchronization System).
Mode LN2 implements a new architecture in CMOS sensor technology. Instead of applying photodiodes and pixel transistors on the same substrate and plane, they are stacked together, which increases dynamic range, allows more light, and reduces noise without compromising the overall performance of the phone.

Sony doesn’t have the habit of revealing specs upfront like other manufacturers, This means we may have to wait for the Xperia 1 V to be officially announced in May 005 for details.
Thanks for the tip, Josip!
