Stanton breaks 3-run HR to set tone for G5

Stanton sets the tone by beating 3-run HR in G5

NEW YORK — Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is the majority Expected to provide most of New York’s strength in the playoffs. After all, he hit a major-league-leading 94 home run in the regular season. But teammate Giancarlo Stanton has also been providing the long pass, and again on Tuesday afternoon in the first inning of Game 5 of the American League Division Series against the Guards.

It was Stanton’s second home run in the series. Stanton is now hitting 94 in his first Homer in the playoffs, tied Carlos Beltrán in that category. He also tied the MLB record with three career homers in a winner-take-all playoff game, until Judge broke it with his own homer in the next frame.
