When Kevin Durant asked the Brooklyn Nets in June, and speculation began as to which team could make an offer big enough to make a 12-time NBA All-Star.
According to reports, the Warriors pair could reunite with Durant, but it would be costly for Golden State and all involved.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Warriors superstar Stephen Curry revealed he had a conversation with rapper Snoop Dogg about a potential trade for Durant from the Golden State Warriors.
Curry says Durant has unrealistic expectations because his preferred destination will keep the superstar roster after acquiring Nets star, regardless of the assets that must go to Brook forest deal.
“Man, he thinks they’re going to the team — like he’s going to Phoenix — and they’re going to be the same Curry told Snoopy.
]. He’s such a key piece…if they can do that.”
In the Warriors’ case, that would mean dropping Jordan Poole, Young players like Jonathan Cuminga, James Wiseman and Moses Moody in a potential trade for Durant, something Golden State is reportedly reluctant to do.

Ultimately, Durant and the Nets settled, ending trade speculation, as the superstar’s contract doesn’t expire until 2026. Still, after the 2022-23 NBA season, how long the two sides will get along for the situation in Brooklyn remains a mystery.
