Talk about a big week. Two days ago his new Hulu sitcomReboot was on Fox Lot September, Modern Family creatorSteven Levitan tied the knot with fiancee Kristina in a backyard ceremony at the home of his agent, UTA Vice President Jay Sures .
“OMG,” 60 YEAR OLD TO THR Busy 48 hours. “As if I don’t have enough stress in my life. But I think it’s a good thing because it’s distracting me for the past few weeks.”
He stands The podium at the Darryl F. Zanuck Theater did the same in a brief pre-screening commentary. Levitan divides his time by calling out Reboot the collaborator and introducing his bride.
“When I’m walking down the red carpet, all the [cameras] are flashing, it’s a natural thing for me, I’ve been in business all these years. But my wife Christina is very shy and doesn’t like paying too much attention to her. She’s there. Let’s give her a big [applause]”
The audience – full of Reboot like Keegan-Michael Key (who performed at the wedding), Johnny Knoxville, Rachel Bloom and Judy Greer – glad promise.
The couple got engaged in July 2021 on an African safari, Levitan to THR explaining how the pandemic affected their relationship and rebooting on the red carpet. “We started dating before the pandemic and we’ve been squatting together like we’ve been dating for three years a year. We know each other so well, I’m starting to imagine what it would be like without her. The answer is it’s going to be worse. Meanwhile, she heard my complaints on Zoom and nearly pulled my hair out trying to figure out this pilot.”
Thanks to the series being certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and getting a lot of Positive reviews, including from THR’s Angie Han, who praised the show’s “smart writing, A biscuit actor and a cheerful willingness to pursue broad humor, say, a popcorn avalanche (albeit with a wink).”
