The legendary duo whose 12 Films from Sugarland Express to The Fabermans will be recognized in January .
Two true Hollywood legends, the director of Steven Spielberg and Composer John Williams, will mark their 10 first year of collaboration, rare joint public appearance at commemorative event held by the U.S. Film Archive, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
“Spielberg/Williams — 12 Years of Music and Movies,” which will feature clips and dialogue. Thursday, January 10, 6 p.m., at the Writers Guild Theater in Beverly Hills. (American Cinematheque members will have an exclusive opportunity to purchase event tickets, but anyone can become an AC member at any time.)

If this film is nominated for Best Picture, Spielberg will extend his record number of nominations from Producer arrive (although he only won once in this category because Schindler’s List). If it is nominated for Best Original Score, Williams will extend his record for total living nominations from 30 arrive11 (he won five times); he has held the decades-long record for at least one nomination (1970s, 52s, 1970s, 1981s, 1990s, 1998s and 2016s).
