Steven Spielberg's 'The Fabelmans' to close AFI Fest

Steven Spielberg ‘s The Fabelmans has booked another fall festival site . This semi-autobiographical film will close at the Los Angeles International Film Festival (AFI Fest) at the TCL Chinese Theater on November 6, and will have its world premiere at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival .

Universal and Amblin Entertainment film co-created by Spielberg and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner Screenwriter, inspired by Spielberg’s formative years and his relationship with his parents. Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen and Paul Dano star alongside Gabriel Rabel, who plays an aspiring young filmmaker.

Williams plays a character based on Spielberg’s mother and his father, Dano, of whom Rogan is a family friend. Judd Hirsch, Jeannie Berlin, Julia Butters, Robin Bartlett and Keeley Karsten found the cast.

Festival premiere before the film in November 11 Limited availability in New York and Los Angeles. It expanded nationwide in November 23, the eve of the Thanksgiving long weekend. Spielberg produced with Kushner and Kristie Macosko Krieger.

The 36th AFI Fest will be held from November 2nd to 6th.
