STOCKHOLM (Reuters) – A bag containing explosives was found in central Stockholm late on Sunday night, a police spokesman said on Monday.
The explosive device was found in a park in central Stockholm that was one of the venues for the capital’s annual cultural festival, which runs from 17 to 8 August Held on the 21st.
“Police assess that the bag found an explosive in Kungstradgarden on Sunday,” police said in a statement. Authorities conducted a forensic examination in the early hours of Monday, police said.
