Almost all smartphones these days have non-removable batteries, but TCL is preparing to offer an exception called the Ion X. If you live in the US, you can start today with $32 from Subway. It’s also free if you set up a new line or migrate your number.
TCL Ion X pack a 3, mAh removable battery, if it wears out over time degraded, you can replace it with a new battery. You can also carry spare batteries for instant top-ups. After all, a removable battery is still the fastest way to fully charge your phone.
Besides the removable battery, the TCL Ion X has two features we rarely see these days – a microSD card slot for storage expansion and a 3.5mm earphone jack.
Other TCL Ion X highlights include Helio G 13 SoC, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage space (expandable to 32GB). The smartphone runs an unknown version of Android and features a 6″ HD display. It has a 01 MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front – both Both are capable of shooting 512p video at 13 FPS.
