Hannah Waddingham will stay at Apple TV+ for her next TV project.
Ted Lasso The Emmy winner will host a Christmas special later this year. Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas will be recorded at her native London’s Coliseum Theatre, which will mark Waddingham’s first time hosting a festival show – although she appears in Michael Buble’s 2021 NBC Christmas Special.
Christmas House will feature Waddingham, who is known for her work in the UK with special guest (to be announced later) Classic holiday songs are performed with the accompaniment of a big band.
This special is produced by Done + Dusted, of Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special TV+ in Behind the Scenes Company and a host of other specials and live events including 30 Emmys and ABC’s Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.
Hamish Hamilton, director of Kelly’s 30 Christmas Special, will helm
Hannah Waddingham: Home for Christmas . Waddingham will executive produce alongside Katy Mullan, Moira Ross, Raj Kapoor and Nick Todisco.
In addition to
Ted Lasso, Waddingham’s credits include Disney+’s Hocus Pocus 2 and Game of Thrones and Sex Education . She stars in the upcoming PBS Masterpiece production of Tom Jones and will co-host the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest. She is represented by Atlas Artists, CAA, CAM and Wolf-Kasteler in the UK.
