Thai economy to grow 3.0% to 3.5% this year – Finance Minister

BANGKOK (Reuters) – Thailand’s economy is still expected to grow 3.0% to 3.5% this year, while a weaker baht helps exports, Thailand’s finance minister said on Wednesday.

But supply chain issues such as automotive and electronics industries are also affecting exports, Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith said at a business seminar.

Headline inflation in Southeast Asia’s second-largest economy fell below expectations in September, slowing from the previous month, but above-target consumption, data showed on Wednesday. The price of the PBOC reinforces expectations for further rate hikes by the central bank in November.
