Jenny the Donkey, actor (The Banshees of Inisherin)

Jenny Donkey and Colin Farrell in ‘The Banshees of Inisherin’ Everett
It’s not easy to steal almost every scene from under the noses of Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson and Kerry Condon (Kerry Condon), especially when you have zero acting experience and are only 3 feet tall. But that’s exactly what Jane the Donkey achieves in The Banshees of Inisherin, Martin McDonagh’s beautifully sad Irish black comedy. If the Banshees awards season picks up momentum, especially from Jenny’s on-screen BFF Farrell, expect a shout-out. Sadly, casting directors looking to capitalize on four-legged breakouts to a growing fanbase may be disappointed to hear that MacDonald has sabotaged their plans and paid for Jenny’s early retirement.
