The best womenswear hits the menswear shows

The ready-to-wear shows are less than two weeks away, but we’ve already seen some incredible womenswear on the men’s shows Fashion (and not just because we watched Tár – watch, imagine the Oscar-nominated film by Cate Blanchett

as Lydia Tár in the series Tár, may wear). Perhaps because their main focus is menswear, these garments often have a different perspective on women’s style—and seem closer to a utopian vision of gender-neutral fashion. While some designers leaned towards the contrast of classic gendered clothing, others showcased the same shapes and silhouettes; baggy trousers and jackets, long skirts and chunky knits appeared on models of all genders.

play with shape and proportion, Martine Rose

created a jacket that is both oversized and hugs the bust. Pair it with a mini wrap skirt for a down-to-earth look. Do you think, Isn’t this what the jacket has always looked like?
