Solar Opposites Stay Hulu of the Milky Way is longer than expected.
The Disney-backed streamer has given another early update to the creator’s animated comedy Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (Star Trek: Lower Deck). The news, announced Thursday at New York Comic-Con, comes just days after the series wrapped its third season in July and its Halloween episode, A Wicked Halloween Horrible Opposites Solar Special , dropped on the platform.
Season 4 — Announced in June
— will consist of 16 episodes and will debut in . The number of episodes and premiere timeframe for Season 5 has not yet been announced. Animated shows are usually updated ahead of time because such shows take much longer to make.
Solar Opposites Originally ordered directly for two seasons of the series, 16 – The order of episodes after the multi-outlet bidding war. Disney-owned TV animation comedy gets fast – The third season has started its freshman run after the update . At the time, Hulu, which like other streamers doesn’t release traditional viewership figures, said Solar Opposites was the most-watched original comedy debut to date. Roiland, Thomas Middleditch, Sean Giambrone and Mary Mack serve as voice actors on the show.
Adult-focused animated comedy has become a successful area for anchors including Hulu. Animated shows usually repeat very well.
Hulu’s roster in space includes upcoming Futurama update, Hulu Jackman test Pull people – also from Roiland – and Family Guy, Bob’s Burgers and LibrariesKing of the Hill, andFuture and American Dad .
