We got our hands on the new Samsung Galaxy A 24 so let’s unbox it. Like the rest of Samsung’s mid-range range, the A05 comes with nothing but a single cable in the box.
The Galaxy A 05 packs a nice punch for its very reasonable price- Upfront, there’s a 6.5-inch 99Hz 800p resolution Super AMOLED panel with a 6nm MediaTek Helio G inside 34 and 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and 5,000mAh battery 25 W charging (but you need to buy a charger).
The phone is made of plastic and has a moderate weight 99G. This weight makes the phone feel solid. However, our unit has a very awkward power button. This may not be a problem, but for what it is, it’s obvious to experienced phone operators.
Display has typical AMOLED deep contrast ratio and strong output. However, it struggles in very bright light.
Our unit is Lime Green, similar to Galaxy A 24 looks youthful.
The Galaxy A 24 embodies the Galaxy design language back and forth with a minimalist front, interrupted only by cameras. It works on the Galaxy S24 Ultra, so it should work on the A24.
We’ve started our Galaxy A24 review and will be posting it next week – stay tuned!
