The Story Behind the Regency Wig Reimagined in 'Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story'

Since the 2020 premiere, Bridgerton with its sociopolitical, hot romance , and a highly stylized (and slightly modernized) Regency aesthetic. Pastels and ruffles complement embroidery, lace and elegant high piles of hair. With the latest expansion to Bridgerton’s world — Queen Charlotte: The Bridgerton Story , premiering today on Netflix — comes a more refined Bandanas and more reaching lengths. The prequel spin-off features a plethora of stunning wigs (think diamond-encrusted traditional curls) to visually communicate the rise of young Queen Charlotte, played by India Ria Amarteifio.
