Spring officially kicked off earlier this week, and Hollywood A-listers were quick to don the perfect seasonal gowns. This week’s best-dressed stars focused on daytime and evening styles that were simple and effortless — but still made a big impact on the red carpet. The color, texture and cut are particularly impressive.
At the inaugural Fashion Trust US Awards in Los Angeles, for example, there were a few looks that deserved careful consideration. Demi Moore hit the red carpet in a silky green slip by Givenchy and an oversized black coat draped over her shoulders; Jurnee Smollett walked an edgier path in her red leather Marc Jacobs dress line, the bust of the dress was in the shape of rose petals. Meanwhile, Storm Reid went the more glamorous route in Simkhai’s metallic silver mini dress, which had straps in all the right places (it was also the perfect look for Beyoncé’s renaissance tour this summer ).
Other looks made more subtle statements this week. In Paris, model Kendall Jenner’s gray Ann Demeulemeester sweater dress was minimalist with a sexy slit. At the Los Angeles premiere of Yellowjackets Season 2, Sophie Thatcher wore Dior (from designer John Galliano( John Galliano’s era) red strapless gown, embrace the retro style. Meanwhile, at the Jimmy Fallon show in New York City, Jennifer Aniston found another perfect LBD (her signature dress). This time, it’s a simple one-shoulder Bottega Veneta design. Her Friends character Rachel Green would definitely approve.
