Summer may be right around the corner, but this week’s best-dressed celebs haven’t embraced breezy dresses just yet. On the red carpet over the past few days, A-listers have been wearing looks that work for them. Structured silhouettes dominated the week, whether it was a voluminous Molly Goddard tulle dress (like actress Jessica Williams at the Apple TV+ and Essence
events in LA) ), or the tough parka (from Kendall Jenner, who was out in New York City wear it).
There are also some great sets repeating on the steps this week. At the premiere of Angel City
in Hollywood, Natalie Portman wore a black cropped Miu Miu suit with button-down twill soft A woolen jacket—a subtle nod to her on-screen portrayal of famed actress Jackie O. Jodie Comer wears Gabriela Hearst’s white three-piece suit with stylish blazer at the Tony Awards “Meet the Nominees” event in New York City, Vest and trousers – this is a new and slightly unexpected eveningwear option.
This week’s skirts and gowns also have architectural elements. Model Karlie Kloss wears a sexy cutout gown by LaQuan Smith at an event at Gagosian Gallery in New York. While out and about in the Big Apple, Kim Kardashian opted for Alaïa’s faux croc-print gown, which fits perfectly (it’s her signature look, after all). For the second annual Gold Gala in Los Angeles, actress Sandra Oh opted for a satin pink town and draped emerald skirt by Prabal Gurung—an elegant take on the ongoing colorblocking trend.
While the hot summer months may soon see unfussy long The star of the skirt, but they still focus on the shape of a great fit. Let’s see if this carries over into June.
