Director Ryan Ku Ghöller’s accessories that night had Boseman on his mind: He wore a gold dog tag pendant necklace with the actor’s image. “This is a necklace I made when I was about to start shooting because I wanted him to be close to me,” Coogler toldGood Morning America. Actor Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri in the film, also opted for a sleek Alexander McQueen suit – complete with crystal suspenders – which was paired with Boseman 2018 The Oscars are of the same opinion. Wright further honored his legacy by posing in the iconic Wakanda salute, something Boseman often does on the red carpet. These stylish nods to Boseman make the red carpet feel special and purposeful.
