TIFF: Alexander Payne's 'Stayers' Lands Focus Feature

Focus Features has taken over Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers, a drama that reunites the director with the main character of Sideways Paul Giamatti.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Focus has acquired the worldwide rights to the Miramax image, excluding the Middle East. Purchased the Holdovers project at the Toronto Film Festival as part of an informal event The main festival lineup outside the market.
