Bella Poarch enjoys the unique ability to arguably remain responsible for the most popular videos in TikTok history to this day. She uploaded a popular video of her lip-synching to rapper Millie B’s “M to the B” 2020. Since then, Poarch has become a true celebrity in her own right, and a certified fashion star. Last year, the 25 year old attended one of Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty shows, and most recently she toured during Fashion Month, walking Boss Fall 2022 in Milan and then Miu Miu and Valentino in Paris.
Poarch, who was young a few years ago – a small town girl serving in the US Navy, wants to go to Paris Fashion Week? “This is my second time at PFW and this year is even more fun,” she said. “I already knew what to expect, I saw a lot of friends like Bretman [Rock] and Bryanboy. It was great to make new friends like Giuliano Calza, they made me feel at home.”
Poarch, who regularly cosplays on her social media pages, said the collection she saw in Paris could inform future outfits main inspiration. “GCDS definitely inspired my next cosplay because I love the way they keep pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box,” she said. “That’s what I like about them.”
One thing that fashion stars are definitely not afraid of? boots. According to Poarch, the thicker the better. “I wore boots all four years in the Navy, and I ended up loving them,” she said. “I would literally sleep in steel toe boots during my service in the Navy, and I ended up feeling comfortable in them. No matter how big or tall, the boots were no longer an issue*.”
Poarch That said, she had a lot of great moments during Paris Fashion Week. Bella Hadid’s viral spray-painted dress at Coperni made for a special experience. “Everything about it is incredible,” Poarch said. “I was in awe when Bella came out and when they started spray painting her I didn’t know what to expect, but it ended up being awesome.”
TikTok’s biggest trend Is the star in love now? “I really like DIY fashion, especially crochet,” she says. I love all the different patterns, colors and textures. I can’t crochet myself, but I want to learn. “
