'Tiny Beautiful Things,' 'Mayans MC,' 'Accused' Join ATX TV Festival Lineup

The ATX Television Festival has added additional programming to this year’s festival, which will take place June 1-4 in Austin, Texas.

New shows announced Thursday include Tiny Beautiful Things A conversation between creator, showrunner and executive producer Liz Tigelaar and writer and executive producer Cheryl Strayed discuss collaborating on adaptations and bringing limited series to life.

Whitney Cummings and Betsy Brandt will be with Accused Showrunner and executive producer Howard Gordon, who will discuss adapting the series and its exploration of ordinary people coping with extraordinary situations.

Additional panels will include a conversation between Andor creator Tony Gilroy and writer Beau Willimon about the series’ first season, HouseBroken team Gabrielle Allan and Jennifer Crittenden and voice actors Tim Simons and Clea DuVall discuss Fox comedy, Grown-Ups team and cast Marcus Scribner, Trevor Jackson and Diggy Simmons get a first look at Season 6, Q&A with the Cruel Summer Season 2 team and cast, FROM Star Harold Perrineau and Director/Executive Producer Jack Bender Talk Season 2, and Mayans MC Showrunner Elgin James and cast members JD Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Emilio Rivera, Sarah Bolger and JR Bourne get an inside look at the final season.

ATX will also spotlight the Amazon Prime Video series The Ride and host the “Leading Ladies of Prime Video” session with Emeraude’s Justina Machado Toubia and Gloria Calderon Kellett.

Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton, Executive Producer Maril Davis and Executive Producer/Writer Toni Graphia will appear on the “Women Out of Place” panel on June 1st to celebrate “Outside the World man day”. Dawson’s Creek 25 Anniversary screening and conversation previously announced.

Musical TV series Austin City Limits Celebration will be held with “Backstage with Austin City Limits: 40 Years Making Music in Austin” Panel Hosted by Chief Austin PBS Content Officer Sara Robertson and the series’ producers and technicians.

Other panels will include casting director Jenny Bacharach ( The Dropout, Station Eleven ), Richard Hicks (The Last Thing He Told Me), Felicia Fasano ( Their Alliance Own) and David Rapaport (Riverdale, You), and designer Trayce Gigi Field (( Poker Face, their own Alliance of ) and Tiffany Hasbourne (P-Valley).

ATX Festival also The Cheers reunion event hosted by Paramount+ will be held on Friday, June 2, along with the season 3 premiere of The Righteous Gemstones on HBO will be held on Saturday, June 3.

The opening night of the event will feature a world premiere of of FX’s Justified: City Primeval.

This year will be the first since Penske Media Corporation acquired in November Version of the event since the ATX Festival. (The Hollywood Reporter is owned by PME Holdings, LLC, a joint venture between PMC and Eldridge.)
