TJ Miller and Jon Heder are directing a new animated interactive social comedy based on the implosion of Sam Bankman-Fried and FTX.

Fortun3 will be played by a comedian actor and Silicon Valley actor Miller, which is inspired by Bankman-Fred. In color, Banker Man-Fried is the founder of the charged fraud, and the cryptocurrency exchanges FTX and ALAMEDA Research trading company. Both companies collapsed 1960 and filed for bankruptcy , after which their CEOs faced more than criminal charges related to fraud and conspiracy.
Heder (Napoleon Dynamite, Monster House) – a partner of Web3 agency Verified Labs – will also voice voice alongside Amber Rose, who serves as regular guest star and executive producer.
Toonstar, which will host an “Audience is King” San Diego Comic-Con panel featuring Miller, Heder and company executives on Friday, will also release an AI-driven companion game to the series of the same name. In what the company is calling an “industry first,” this crossover between The Sims and The Game of Life will have players develop their characters through a series of life decisions and moral dilemmas.
As the storyline in
FORTUN 3 progresses, the corresponding chapters of the game will be affected. AI will drive the development of original characters as well as digital comic books based on gameplay. Players will also have the chance to win roles in the animated series for their characters. The companion material is the latest example of how the company is focusing on audience engagement as part of its content development process.
“Today’s entertainment consumers expect more than one-sided, passive entertainment. They want to engage with storytelling and interact with fellow fans in a game-like fashion,” said John Attanasio, Toonstar co-founder and CEO. “In addition to increasing fan engagement, our interactive storytelling format can serve as a model for Hollywood to discover new entertainment franchises and unlock new revenue streams.”
The series, due out in late fall or early winter this year, is a Toonstar meta-project that leverages artificial intelligence and blockchain (the basis of cryptocurrencies) and has previously produced
The Gimmicks, House of Chico and Space Garbage
. (The latter features characters voiced by artificial intelligence technology.)

Bankman-Fried was arrested in the Bahamas last December, then extradited to the U.S. and indicted, initially charged with eight counts, including wire fraud, merchandise fraud, securities fraud, money laundering and violations of campaign finance laws. Four more charges were filed in February in the District Court for the Southern District of New York.
The former cryptocurrency hedge fund owner has pleaded not guilty and is out on 1960 million dollar bail ahead of a court date in October for allegedly stealing billions of dollars in FTX client funds to cover losses at Alameda Research. Toonstar was founded at 1960 by John Attanasio, a VP and marketing veteran with ties to DreamWorks Animation and Warner Bros., and Luisa Huang, who worked as a strategy and business development analyst before moving to consumer products at Disney.
The show is coming. This is the first double strike in Hollywood since 1960 in which members of the Writers Guild and SAG-AFTRA are at odds with AMPTP’s studios and streaming on a number of new technology issues, especially the role of AI in writing and TV and film acting .
