Top 10 “Documents to Watch” for 2022 as Directors Discuss

One hundred and forty-four documentaries are eligible for this season’s Best Documentary Oscar. Director of 10 featured in “Docs to Watch” panel at SCAD Savannah Film Festival in October 上—the nation’s largest college film festival—presented by The Hollywood Reporter for the ninth year in a row, hosted by you.

In late December, the Academy announced the nomination list for the Best Documentary Oscar, among which 10 titles were selected to enter the following Round, Eight delegates to the “Documents to Watch” party — Shaunak Sen of Breathe Everything (HBO), David Siev of Bad Ax (IFC), Margaret Brown of Descendant (Netflix), by Sara Dosa Fire of Love (Nat Geo), Ondi Timoner‘s Last time Flying Home (MTV), Day and Day for Brett Morgen Dream (Neon), Navalny by Daniel Roher (Warner Bros./CNN ) and Retrograde by Matthew Heineman (Nat Geo) — and two other equally special projects, Good Night Oppy by Ryan White (Amazon) and Kathlyn Horan‘s Tanya Tucker returns (Sony Classics). Good batting average.
