HBO True Detective has Complete the main cast for season four.
The anthology series adds newcomers Aka Niviâna, Isabella Star Lablanc and Joel D. Montgrand. They join the previous cast Jodie Foster , Carrie Reese , John Hawkes , Christopher Eccleston, Fiona Shaw, Finn Bennett and Anna Lan cowry.
The upcoming season, subtitled Night Country and set in Alaska, will be the first The unwritten and run season was created by series creator Nic Pizzolatto (who retains executive producer credit). Issa López (Shudder’s Tigers Are Not Afraid) is the showrunner and will also direct several episodes.
The main line of the fourth season is: “As long winter nights descend upon Ennis, Alaska, the six men who operate the Charal Arctic Research Station vanish without a trace. In order to solve the case, Detectives Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis) will have to confront the darkness within them and dig deeper into the depths hidden in the Eternal Ice The haunted truth beneath the layers.”
Niviâna will play Navarro’s sister Julia, who is battling her history and the demons within. Lablanc plays Danvers’ stepdaughter Leah, a young woman fighting for her voice and identity. Montgrand will play Eddie Qavvik, Navarro’s love interest and a local musher with deep connections to the Ennis.
Niviâna is a writer, poet and climate activist from her native Greenland. True Detective marked her first screen role. Lablanc’s (Sisseton Wahpeton Dakota) credits include Spectrum’s Long Slow Exhale and Paramount+’s upcoming Pet Sematary prequel; she is represented by Liberman Zerman Management. Montgrand (Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation) has appeared in Legends of Tomorrow and Carbon Change , and A character in the Netflix live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series. He was represented by The Characters Talent Agency.
