TV TOKYO President: Spy×Family 2nd Half was the highest-rated TV show in the July quarter



Reporter Sudo Chu shared on Twitter part of his recent interview with the president of TV TOKYO , which revealed

) The ratings continue to remain high, and the second part is “the best of all programs in July

season.” (Please note that the July season ends on October 2, so the second premiere of the anime on October 1 belongs to the July season for statistical purposes.)

Interestingly, while the show has an average rating of 1.8%, viewers who recorded the show and watched it later (known as ” time-shifted audience”) is much higher. That could mean the anime’s current slot isn’t ideal, as viewership jumps to 5.8% in later stages, Sudo noted. The time-shifted audience rating of the second half of the premiere episode was 6%, setting a new high for

TV TOKYO . The live audience rating of the premiere was 3.6%.

The first half of the animation premiered on April 9th. Crunchyroll played the first half of the anime when it aired, and also had an English dub.
