“Simone’s youthful vision has given me and my team the space to take a less traditional route when it comes to makeup, from playing around with facial and body adornments to using our fingers instead of makeup brushes,” says makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver. “This season’s cast is particularly diverse, so we wanted to focus on individuality and capture the moment when you pick up your makeup and play with it for the first time.” Drawing inspiration from the collection’s youthful whimsy, each model’s individual beauty Enhanced by trinkets, the colors and textures used were taken directly from the collection and applied to each face – including a pair of bows in red, black or black. white ribbon. “In some cases, we also put product on and then remove it, giving the makeup a worn-in feel.”
