The revamped Twitter Blue subscription service was relaunched in December after a flood of fake accounts posing as celebrities and companies caused confusion. Now, the platform offers annual subscriptions in addition to monthly subscriptions.
For example, a monthly subscription in the US is $8 per month or $11 If you are an iOS user, Then an annual payment of $60 will grant you the blue badge for one year. That’s about $7 per month, not a huge discount, but it’s still a thing if you’re a “hardcore” user and plan to pay.
For those who don’t know, Twitter Blue not only gives you a blue verification badge, it also gives you a priority ranking for conversation replies, 60 Minute video upload cap, thread reader and ability to edit tweets.
As of now, the service is only available in select countries – US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Wider deployments are expected in the coming months.
