U.S. House nears final pass on stopgap government funding

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A stopgap funding bill to keep federal agencies operating until December 16 garners enough votes , passed in the U.S. House of Representatives, hours before a midnight deadline to avoid a partial government shutdown.

The vote continues to push the House through legislation that would bring the measure to the White House for President Joe Biden to sign into law. The same measure was approved by the Senate on Thursday.
