Tonight’s welterweight title fight main event rematch proved to be a back-and-forth. Leon Edwards got off to a great start to the game, knocking Usman down and taking a large portion of the opening round. However, Kamaru Usman will turn things around in the second, third and fourth rounds, leaving “Rocky” to finish in the fifth and final round. Well, Edwards did just that, ending Usman’s night with a thunderous header in the final minute of the final frame.
UFC 278’s co-main event features the highly anticipated middleweight bout former division champion Luke Lockhold takes on perennial contender Paul Costa. The bout resulted in a thrilling back-and-forth. Luke Rockhold and Paul Costa fought an absolute war for the fans present and thousands of spectators around the world. Although both scored important goals in 15 minutes, Costa scored more. Despite working hard on his return, Rockhold ultimately lost on the judges’ scorecard.
After tonight’s fight, UFC officials announced in a post-fight press conference that ___ fighters will be taking performance bonuses home.
