SALT LAKE CITY – Jose Aldo and Mehrab Devalishvili appeared to be fully focused on getting into UFC 278, judging by their demeanor during their pre-fight press conference on Thursday.
Aldo (31-7 MMA, 13-6 UFC) and Dvalishvili (14-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) for the first time before Saturday’s featured bantamweight bout Gaze aside, they were simply stoic as they prepared for a massive divisional matchup.

Aldo, ranked No. 6 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie bantamweight rankings, will be looking to extend his winning streak to four fights in this fight. It wasn’t easy for the former UFC and WEC champion, though, as No. 5 Dvalishvili brought his seven-game winning streak into the Octagon.
UFC 278 at Vivant Arena. The main card plays pay-per-view after the ABC/ESPN prelims and ESPN+ early preliminaries.
