Nate Diaz added another guillotine victory to his resume with a fourth-round victory over Tony Ferguson in the main event at UFC 279. This is not the conclusion of the pay-per-view campaign that everyone was expecting. Khamzat Chimaev was scheduled to fight the Stockton native in the main event, but when the former weighed in at 178.5 pounds, the final three fights of the night had to be shuffled to get the fight going.
It’s a big win for Diaz as he has to have an interesting fight with Ferguson, That includes plenty of attacks, taunts, and, of course, the iconic guillotine choke. Diaz has completed multiple opponents in the past.
This is a fitting end to a crazy night of fights. Here look at all the results, and then take a closer look at the results of the main card.

Khamzat Chimaev Friday Didn’t win on the scale, but he did in the cage on Saturday.
Borz continued his dominance with a first-round win over Kevin Holland. He jumped when Holland touched the glove at the start of the round. From there, it was a frantic scramble before Chimaev jumped on the choke.
First time D’Arce chokes not quite right Time passed, but Chimayev adjusted his grip, Ultimately forcing the Dutchman to knock on the door.
The bigger storyline here is that Chimayev made a huge blunder to weigh heavily on welterweight’s 171-pound allowance 7.5 lbs.
This mistake made Chimaev the main event against Nate Diaz, and it’ll be interesting to see if he gets the title next .
Of course he has skills, but he needs to prove he can do the weights.

Daniel Rodriguez and Li Jingliang were the first at Khamzat Three fights that changed after Chimaev failed to gain weight. Paying brought an uphill battle, with Rodriguez making a divided decision.
Rodriguez set a fast pace early. He was in Jing Liang’s face from the start and took the lead early. However, Jing Liang came back with some kicks of his own legs.
All three rounds are hard to score as both fighters have their moments and the total batting count is relatively close.
In the end, both of them were the winners of the opponent’s substitution at the last moment. Jing Liang was especially disadvantaged because he gave up 8 pounds to Rodriguez during the weigh-in.

Erin ·Aldana scored one of your most unique knockouts”ll will never see against Macy Chiasson.
The 34 The year-old found herself on her back in the crucial third round when she released a liver uptick that abruptly ended the fight. It just goes to show that MMA always has something new to offer.
It’s good that Aldana kicks the ball because it’s a toss up for the fight to get to the third round.
In the first round, Aldana nearly got the tap by threatening to submit. One round she clearly won. But the second round belonged to Chiasson, establishing a winner-take-all situation in the third and final round.

Johnny Walker kicks Ion Cutelaba at UFC 279. (Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC)
Johnny Walker is usually known for his amazingness, but he took a slightly different approach to getting the best results with Ion Cutelaba A much-needed victory.
The 6-foot-6 Walker took advantage of his height to get into naked suffocation in the first round. Cutelaba scored early in the game and worked in the top position, but Walker took the opponent’s back and attempted a choke several times before finally getting the tap.

Walker in his last game China leads 1-4 and loses two games in five games. Against a strong forward like Cutelaba, it is important that he shows that he can be a well-rounded fighter.
Adding a dangerous surrender game could help Walker get his career back on track.
