In case you missed it, Usher recently went viral with his amazing NPR Tiny for last month’s tabletop concert performance (Seriously, stop reading this article and go check it out, if you haven’t already). Just a few short weeks later, he was in the headlines again thanks to his continued collaboration with Remy Martin. The luxury cognac brand has teamed up with the superstar for “Usher x Rémy Martin 1738: A Taste of Passion” – a collaborative event that includes the release of an ultra-exclusive bottle and matching NFT – to Celebrating Usher’s 25th Anniversary of Breaking My Way and his new Vegas residence.
Each bottle is decorated in deep black and features exclusive artwork created exclusively for the collaboration by combining Usher’s voice with AI technology. According to Remy Martin, “Usher used his own musical vocabulary to describe his olfactory experience with the famous Remy Martin 1738 Accord Royal, a smooth cognac characterized by toast, vanilla and The taste of brioche.” The tasting notes used artificial intelligence to resample to create unique, abstraction-inspired bottle labels for the launch.

Each buyer also gets a corresponding NFT that they can choose to keep, give away, resell through the site’s peer-to-peer marketplace, or cash out a bottle of Cognac when it officially goes on sale this October.
good news? The ultra-exclusive bottle is on sale for a reasonable $500 on July 29, 2022. bad news? Even if you have the financial means to spend so much money on a one-of-a-kind cognac gift for yourself, you’re out of luck. The lot sold out in only two seconds . (Although some bottles have been resold for over $1,500 at the time of writing.)
If, like us, you missed the bottle drop, you can still get yours for this year’s Welcome to repair it yourself. The drop time coincides with the debut of his A Taste of Passion Experience, an immersive multi-sensory show that coincides with Usher’s My Way-The Vegas Residency (dated now through the end of October). Following the 90-minute hit, fans can visit interactive exhibits featuring unique artwork that pays homage to the superstar’s decades-long career, while sampling the singer’s collaboration with Rémy. Bespoke cocktails (such as The Rémy Sidecar and UR Way).
