Valentino sleeping socks by Annika Huett
Chiffon, taffeta, dévoré satin, floral-print crepe de chine, silk Georgettes and guipures – paragons of dreamy materials and exceptional craftsmanship, are preserved in the Valentino archives, otherwise destined never to be used again. Now they can be given a second life through the opera, theatre, cinema, and other fashion designer professionals; in the process avoiding the CO2 emissions produced during the production of new fabrics. It’s a historic step for Valentino, the first fashion house to transparently give individuals access to its unused stock, a new springboard for their creativity.
